Brian C. Harty was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1969. In 1972 his family moved to Irvine, California where he was raised. Mr. Harty and his wife have two sons.
Mr. Harty graduated from the University of Notre Dame (B.A., 1991) and the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (J.D., 2002). Mr. Harty was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 2003 and admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009.
After graduating from Berkeley, Mr. Harty and his wife lived in New York City where he was a corporate transactional attorney with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, one of the nation’s premier corporate law firms.
At Skadden, Arps, Mr. Harty’s practice focused on a variety of securities and banking transactions typically valued in excess of several hundred million dollars. He worked on sophisticated transactions, such as, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, high yield debt offerings and the formation of private equity and hedge funds.
Mr. Harty is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the Orange County Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
Mr. Harty now limits his practice exclusively to Family Law. |
